Mountaire Farms of Delaware

In 2000, the assets of Townsends Poultry in Millsboro, Delaware were purchased along with four grain elevators located in Delaware and Maryland. This company was named Mountaire Farms of Delaware, Inc., and includes a processing plant, a hatchery and a feedmill all located on 2000 acres near Millsboro, Delaware. The company produces additional volume to meet the increasing demand for our high quality retail, wholesale and export chicken products. Contract growers on the Delmarva Peninsula grow the live chickens for these operations.
