Wallops Island Flight Facility Named August Env. Star

WMDT & Mountaire Farms are proud to announce NASA Wallops Flight Facility, Wallops Island, VA, as the WMDT/Mountaire Environmental Star of the Month Award recipient for the month of August.  The “little city” that is Wallops Flight Facility employs over 1,100 individuals and sits on 6,000 acres of diverse landscape on the coastline of the Eastern Shore of Virginia.  Tidal marsh land, pristine beaches, wooded areas and housing developments are all components of the vast acreage making up the 2nd largest NASA Facility in the country; all of which is protected by a close knit group of 16 individuals comprising the Wallops Environmental Office...for the complete story click here

Back to Natural - Ole' Timers Day Food Drive

As we quickly approach the fall season and a time of great need for area food pantries, the Krakker Barrel of Supermarkets, Hocker’s Super Center, and Mountaire Farms are teaming up for a FOOD DRIVE like no other.  On Saturday, September 18th from 9am to 1pm, the parking lot of Hocker’s on Rte. 26 in Clarksville will be transformed into an Ole’ Timers Day Carnival featuring Country Music, a Classic Car display, carryout food buys, and much more!  Mountaire Farms will also be on hand to present a mini version of its Chickin’ Pickin’ Championship, where 10 competitors will pick and shred it out for a Chickin’ Pickin’ Belt Buckle, t-shirts and a Hocker’s financial reward...for more info and Chickin' Pickin' details CLICK HERE

Phillip C. Showell's -Terracycle Buddy Brigade Named August's Future Environmental Star(s)

WMDT & Mountaire Farms are proud to announce Ronna Cobb and her Terracycle Bottle Buddy Brigade at Phillip C. Showell Elementary School as the recipients of the WMDT/Mountaire Future Environmental Star of the Month award for August.  From the outset of the 2009-2010 school year, the students and faculty at the quaint elementary school, located in Selbyville, DE, made it a priority to recycle and instill a sense of environmental responsibility in everyone associated with the facility. ....for the complete story

Mountaire Family Night – DV & DE
On a cool, clear night, thousands enjoy an evening of food, fun and baseball at Shorebirds Stadium in Salisbury, MD.

On a perfect night for baseball, the Delmarva Shorebirds put on a hitting display in front of packed house.  The crowd of 8,993, made up mostly of Mountaire employees, growers and their families saw the home team win by a score of 9-1.  But the real story was not the ballgame itself, but the activities before and after the game in honor of Mountaire Family Night...for a complete recap click here  

Robesonian & Mountaire Team Up in NC

It is with great excitement that we announce the partnership of Mountaire Farms and the Robesonian in the Robesonian/Mountaire Farms Scholar Athlete of the Month Award.  After two successful years on the Delmarva Peninsula, the Scholar Athlete of the Month is now available in North Carolina for Robeson County High School student athletes...click here for the full story

Jones-Kellam Beats the Heat to Retain Chickin' Pickin' Crown

On Friday, July 23rd, the only thing hotter than Mother Nature was the fast hands of reigning Mountaire Chickin’ Pickin’ Champion, Charlene Jones-Kellam of Magnolia, DE.  As temperatures reached a paltry 100 degrees, hundreds of fans packed into the Free Entertainment Tent at the Delaware State Fair to enjoy Mountaire Chickin’ Pickin’ III.  Twenty five competitors, including local celebrities, competed for the $500 prize and title of Chickin’ Pickin’ Champ...for more details click here

2010 Mountaire DV & DE Scholarship Luncheon

Members of the Mountaire Family came together on Tuesday, July 20th at Doyle’s Family Restaurant in Selbyville, DE to honor the 2010 Mountaire DV & DE Scholarship Recipients.  The Processing Operations, Live Operations, and Grain Departments, from both Delmarva and Delaware, held the cordial luncheon to present scholarship checks to this year’s honorees.

Delmarva's Praise & Worship Competition

Mountaire is excited to extend and invitation to all praise & worship teams on the Peninsula to participate in this Inaugural Mountaire Praise & Worship Competition, which will take place at Epworth United Methodist Church in Rehoboth, DE on October 14, 15 & 16.  This three day event is designed to highlight Delmarva area praise & worship teams in a spiritually-competitive format, where the most outstanding performances are rewarded with cash prizes.  The teams judged to be in the top 3 receive a cash prize, with $3,000 for first place, $2,000 for second place and $1,000 for third place...for more info CLICK HERE

Donation Request Form

Each year Mountaire Farms, Inc donates hundreds of thousands of dollars in sponsorships, poultry product and apparel to local non-profit organizations, food banks, youth leagues, etc...Due to the overwhelming number of requests we recieve each day, we ask everyone to please fill out our official donation request form and follow the proper steps in order expedite the process.  Filling out the form does not guarantee your request will be honored, however, it does ensure it will be considered...Click here for a printable form
