2011 Scholarship Winners - North Carolina
2011 Mountaire Scholarship Ceremony – North Carolina
The 2011 Mountaire Scholarship Ceremony for Lumber Bridge, Candor and Siler City was held at Squire’s Pub in Aberdeen, NC on Friday, August 5, 2011 and the Ceremony for Statesville was held at Ruby Tuesday on August 9, 2011 in Statesville, NC. A total of 8 students were selected as recipients of Mountaire’s $1,000 scholarship and received their award during the ceremony. Congratulations to all scholarship recipients and best of luck in your collegiate studies!
Scholarship Recipients:
Hannah Crowe – daughter of Pullet Flock Supervisor William Crowe. Entering her Junior year at Wingate University School of Pharmacy
Kelsey McDonald – daughter of Keith McDonald, Broiler Service Manager in Candor, NC. Entering her Senior year at NC State University, majoring in Human Biology.
Justin Johnson – son of Hatchery Manager Everett Johnson.
Entering his freshman year at NC State University, majoring in Biological & Agricultural Engineering
Kathleen Wood – daughter of Richard and Sharon Wood, Growers for Mountaire.
Entering her junior year at NC State University, majoring in Animal Science.
Daniel Redmond – son of Joe and Lorrie Redmond in the Mountaire Breeder Operation.
Entering his freshman year at NC State University, majoring in Computer Engineering
Samantha Taylor – daughter of Stephen Taylor, Lead Transportation Dispatcher Lumber Bridge.
Entering her freshman year at Meredith College, majoring in Environmental Sustainability.
Cody Perry – Son of Jeff and Darlene Perry, growers for Mountaire.
Entering his sophomore year at NC State University, majoring in Physics.
Chad Sechrest –Son of Keith and Donna Sechrest, growers for Mountaire.
